Exceptionally strong and flexible, Heronrib is designed to give outstanding performance in wet area barefoot applications, making it the ideal matting system for these areas in sports and leisure surroundings where safety, hygiene and comfort are paramount.
With many alternative matting products available, the need to specify products that meet exacting performance criteria is essential. Heronrib is one of a wide range of versatile matting products by Plastex Extruders that have been developed to meet differing performance criteria whilst being both functional and attractive.
Slip-resistant matting
Heronrib is a self-draining product, meeting international standards for safety, hygiene and liquid drainage. It is manufactured from high quality, 100% non-porous vinyl with a slip-resistant, specially embossed surface, which conforms to DIN 51097 Classification A+ B+ C. This highly effective slip resistant surface is designed to reduce the risk of slipping and associated accidents in areas where the presence of water poses a potential underfoot hazard.

To reduce water accumulation, automatic drainage is enabled by the combination of open grid construction and special profile underbars, which allow Heronrib to stand 10mm above ground. Instant 4-way drainage ensures the continuous channelling of even large amounts of water, whilst joins in the open grid format are strengthened by the use of advanced welding technology.
For maximum hygiene in barefoot conditions, Heronrib has Sanitized anti-bacterial and anti-fungal additives incorporated during the extruding process, which provide permanent hygienic properties and meet Sanitized test standards SN 195 920/921. Also, importantly for barefoot conditions, this high performance product is exceptionally warm and comfortable to walk on, and highly effective in both outdoor and indoor applications.
